GOURMET GAS STATION EXPANDS
Chef Point Cafe Doubles In Capacity

FT WORTH, TX, November 1, 2011 — For the past eight years, thousands of DFW locals have been buzzing about a little Conoco gas station tucked away in the town of Watauga. But it’s not the gas they’re raving about…it’s the food. We’re not talking about hotdogs on rollers, we’re talking about real gourmet food, the kind you find in a five-star restaurant – stuffed New York strip, rack of lamb, stuffed mushroom caps and the best darn bread pudding you’ve ever tasted. It’s all served up in the place you’d least expect it – inside a gas station at a restaurant called Chef Point Cafe.

This small cafe continues to attract swarms of faithful fans and in just a couple of weeks, it won’t be so little anymore. On November 15th, Chef Point will open it’s new expansion, doubling in capacity. What used to seat 75 guests with 15 tables will now accommodate up to 160 people. In addition, a much larger kitchen with expanded prep areas will allow Chef and Owner Franson Nwaeze and his team to create more amazing dishes for food lovers to enjoy.

More seating means more room to share one of Fort Worth’s best kept secrets with friends, family and co-workers. Staff will be able to cater on-site, which allows for rehearsal dinners, graduation celebrations, corporate meetings, family reunions and more to be booked in an elite party area. In addition to the expanded seating, a full service bar has been added to provide that glass of wine with your gourmet meal.

To kick-off the new development, the restaurant is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 15th at 9am. More festivities will follow with a Ladies Night on the 15th and a Wine and Dine event the evening of Thursday, November 17th. Both evening events will be ticketed with proceeds benefitting the Joplin Tomorrow Fund, a charity that is close to the hearts of Chef Point’s owners.

If you’re looking for a place to fill up, Chef Point has you covered. Just head to the Conoco gas station at 5901 Watauga Road in Watauga, TX and you won’t be let down. Visit www.chefpointcafe.org to learn more about the restaurant’s offerings or call (817) 656-0080, for your catering needs.
